기초 영단어 700

오석태씨가 출간하는 책들이 괜찮은 책들이 제법있는 것 같습니다. 기초영단어 700은 형용사와 관련된 책입니다. 영어단어는 한국어로 뜻을 똑같이 표기를 해도 미세한 의미와 느낌이 다른 경우가 대부분입니다. 영어를 잘 하는 사람은 영어단어 하나를 사용하더라도 의미와 느낌을 제대로 이해하고 사용하는 사람입니다.그런데 한국인으로서 이렇게 자유자제로 영어단어를 사용하려면 영영사전도 많이 찾아보고 미세한 의미와 느낌을 설명해주는 책들도 구입해서 꾸준히 봐야합니다. 솔직히 쉬운 일은 아니지요. 기초영단어 700을 보면 part1과 part2로 나누어져 있습니다. part1은 기초형용사의 의미와 느낌을 예문을 통해서 다루고 있고 part2는 확장어휘라고 해서 의미가 비슷한 형용사들을 묶어서 미세한 의미와 느낌의 차이를 자세히 설명하는 것이 돋보이네요. 예를 들면 cross라는 형용사는 잘 아는 사람에게 사용하는 구어체 어휘이고 특히 영국에서 "꽤 화난"의 의미로 사용된다고 설명을 합니다. 기초영단어 700은 형용사의 의미와 미세한 느낌과 사용법을 배우고 싶다면 도움이 되는 좋은 책이라고 할 수 있습니다.
